In the recently released klimaaktiv publication, authors from the Austrian Energy Agency (project & network partner of Bioeconomy Austria) provide a clear insight into the different types of biodegradable and non-biodegradable bioplastics. In addition to the bioplastics portraits shown, some examples of successful Austrian products and applications are mentioned. Furthermore, technical, economic and ecological aspects are addressed and current developments on the European bioplastics market are discussed.
